Miami Lakes, FL- December 15, 2021 - JetStream Federal Credit Union has received a $701,530 grant from the US Department of the Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI Fund). JetStream FCU will utilize the award to support low-income households with making eco-friendly upgrades such as solar panels, energy efficient appliances, and roofing.
“We are thrilled to help underserved households in our community go green. This CDFI Fund grant empowers JetStream FCU to provide low income people with eco-friendly options at home. This is as good for the environment as it is for the wallet,” said Jeanne Kucey, President and CEO of JetStream Federal Credit Union.
The US Department of the Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI Fund) awarded 265 Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) $180.3 million in Financial Assistance (FA) awards. The US Department of the Treasury’s CDFI Program invests in and builds the capacity of Community Development Financial Institutions to serve low-income people and underserved communities lacking adequate access to affordable financial products and services.
